diversity, is the ability to make or repair most anything! We began over 40 years ago as a simple job shop doing mostly agricultural repairs. We went on to more challenging projects including, industrial repairs, aircraft parts manufacturing, power generation equipment, and even custom race motors. Throughout our evolution we've never lost focus on the fact that diversity is essential in providing customer service!
Steam turbine diaphragms and other related turbine parts became a large part of our core business many years ago. We provide turbine repairs for the power generation industry, public utilities as well as pulp and paper mills. We not only repair several turbine componets but we also manufacture inner-stage packing, seal rings, etc. Many replacement parts from the OEM have as much as a years lead time while we can often deliver within days!
Babbitt bearings are not just "old school" technology used in saw mills and Ford tractors! Babbitt bearings are still used in every automobile engine made today as well as most high speed equipment including all type of turbines, electric motors, etc. They are used almost exclusively in large bearing applications such as hydro-electric generators, aluminum and steel mill rolls. We routinely repair most any babbitt bearing using different processes including centrifugal casting.
Nothing could be more diverse than rock crusher bearings, custom race motors and a custom hay squeeze, but we do them all! In addition to machining we do welding and fabricating. We design, build and repair different type of equipment which fits nicely with our machine shop. Diversity in our skills and machine tools make it possible to respond to most any request. This flexibility is what allows us to remain in business and compete with larger corporate OEM's.
